Americans are entitled to receive the Social Security benefits they have contributed their whole lives to. They should not be punished because Congress has, in effect, stolen their funds by spending it on other programs.

Yet the system must be reformed for younger Americans, and Congress must be prevented from using Social Security as a slush fund. I will work with my colleagues in Congress to reform Social Security and transform it into a workable system.
